Millennials' Awareness of Investing in Stocks and Its Impact on Economic Growth in Indonesia

Abstract


Economic growth is considered as one of the means of successful or unsuccessful development in a country. The main component of economic growth is capital accumulation which includes all types of investment. The capital market is an alternative for students or investors to invest in the short and long term. Students, as millennials, are encouraged to become potential young investors by paying attention because their participation can make an active contribution in the investment world such as the capital market. The effect of investment on economic growth, economic growth and investment is positively correlated, where if investment increases, national income will also increase.
